Trixie by Janet C. Gerhardt and Trixie the Cat

Trixie is a 7 year old Domestic medium-haired tabby. She presented with retrobulbar lymphoma in May of 2011 at CARES of Langhorne, PA. She immediately responded well to the bi-weekly chemotherapy treatments and we are hoping her remission will be permanent. She is a very sweet cat who had a rough start to her life and seems to be fighting for it all over again. She is mini but mighty.

I needed to do something to help generate money for her treatment and decided I could help other animals with cancer. I know how hard it is to struggle with the emotional and financial toll so I began crafting felt flower pins and barrettes and selling them in honor of Trixie. $2 from every flower goes towards a donation to The Animal Cancer Foundation. I made over $50 this first round and I matched it myself. I hope this helps other animals and their families bare the burden of their pets' cancer a little easier.
